Well, the time has come. I have officially signed off on my last Round Two Podcast episode. It went live yesterday, and it was definitely bittersweet.
Round Two Podcast has brought more to me than I ever anticipated. It started as a simple idea, and turned into one of my life’s greatest adventures.
Over the course of the last 3 years, I published 66 guest interview shows. Sixty-six! I recorded more than that, but a few didn’t make it to the big dance.
But 66 did. And I have released 85 episodes in total. Wow.
Sixty-six people spent their valuable time with me, sharing their stories, nuggets of wisdom, some of life’s biggest challenges, failures, learnings and wins.
In the early days, all of my guests were my friends.
To you all, thank you, thank you for saying “yes”, for believing in me, for being excited for me, and for giving me your time to talk to me about your life.
As the show grew, it was 15 minute discovery calls with strangers who somehow had found my show and wanted to come on. (I still will never get over how cool this is, to read a note from someone who happened upon my show and wanted to come share their story with me.)
Then came the Techstars crew, the LinkedIn crowd, and the PodMatch connections. And a few folks I found on my own and convinced them that their story was more than worth sharing.
One thing I didn’t anticipate, was how much I would change as a result of being a podcast host. I listen so much better. I ask more thoughtful questions. My brain has created a little filing system when someone is talking to me, so I can recall things they said and/or questions they asked, so I can dig deeper or answer each of the questions they posed.
The amount I have learned about all types of businesses, habits, career paths, internal drive, passion, integrity, life and love is greater than any class or course available.
Conversation is real. It’s raw. It’s honest.
There have been so many laughs.
So many questions.
So much reflection.
And even some tears.
To every single guest who gave me their time and their story, thank you. It means more than I could ever properly articulate.
And to the listeners. Podcasting is all for you. Every successful podcast host wants their listeners to find value, to feel connected, to find community.
And ideally, to come back each week for more.
So, what’s next?
Another Round Two for me, of course!
It wouldn’t be fitting any other way, now would it?!
I have been talking about July 10th for the past few weeks, and it is crazy that we are less than a week away! What?!?
I am thrilled to announce the launch of my new podcast, The Scarlet Edit.
Officially live, July 10th, 2025.
If anyone had told me 2 months ago, that I’d be right here, right now, I wouldn’t have believed you. But, as life often does, and as I have talked about before in a newsletter from weeks past, there are times when something emerges and it ends up the only option.
On The Scarlet Edit, we will talk about relationships. Divorce. Affairs. Situationships. Successful Relationships. The realities of what goes on in the world today.
Next week’s newsletter will be full of all the goods, as there is so much going on behind the scenes to get things up and running right now.
So, stay tuned for a new look and feel of the news around here, as well as a new chapter of podcasting for yours truly.
Last but certainly not least, Happy 4th of July!
“Never apologize for bein’ patriotic.” The late, great Toby Keith.
Until next week ✨
I am so proud of you! You have and are creating the life you want! Love you!
